When all you can think about is getting back to coding as the 4 day no coding holiday has just killed you from the first minute.

    +1 to side project/hobby project outside of work. It's fun to have a few things going and be able to work on your own thing, if possible of course. It can maybe even overlap with other fields of interest so you're not only coding or working similar things, as that can definitely become tedious.

    If you select the right side project it can also make you a better employee by improving your skills.
