You're never really lost until you have no internet and nano isn't installed .-.

    *looking at these vi/vim/emacs/nano battles*

Dunno, I wouldn't trade Notepad++ for any of those.

    Edit the bytes

@Stuxnet Pfft give them 50% transparency, call them "gems", and devs will jump onto them like a shepherd on his goats.
  • 8
While y'all are debating nano vs vim vs emacs, I'm just chilling over here with ed.
  • 6
Use MS Word like my other colleague in my previous rant.
  • 9
@Stuxnet @Fast-Nop I write my code in the bible and sprinkle holy water all over it to make sure it works.
  • 7
@rutee07 I prefer the garlic method. Not only it keeps vampires away, but even better, people.
  • 4
@Fast-Nop wait what do you have against vampires, the ones from Nola are kinda hot. Just as long as you stay away from the shiny ones up north, they kinda seem like they're all about the drama.
  • 6
@M1sf3t vampires suck, literally. The more sophisticated ones just on your wallet.

Also, I'm more on the werewolf side anyway. Even got a tattoo. ^^
  • 4
@Fast-Nop that's true I guess, seems like the werewolves would shed a lot though so that's gotta be a helluva house keeping bill.
  • 4
@M1sf3t sure, Werewolves would code in C, with assembly on fullmoon.

Vampires would choose something full of wisdom like Haskell, but without real world usage.

Both would leave JavaScript for mortals. ;-)

@M1sf3t Nola as a whole is one big giant "nope" tbh lol
  • 3
@Stuxnet Oh come now live a little. You can hire a guide if your worried about getting shot. There are those of us who've mingled with the locals enough to know are way around down there.

They finally figured out what was causing the smell as well, ought to be getting done digging up all of the streets pretty soon if they haven't already.
  • 5
@Fast-Nop wouldn't they both code in lua?
  • 6

@ewpratten there is no debate nano > everything else
