Somtimes you just have to rewrite it because finding logic in their code is taking more time then starting from scratch
-
xhtml2069yIf you have a programmers thinking...you wont write a full project from scratch..instead you will try to figure out the readymade code...
-
@xhtml how is that programmer thinking? sounds a bit like I will copy everything together until it works and end up with an extra thousands lines of not used programming.
but maybe I understood you wrong ;)
Just had my good share of copy and paste developers that would copy entire classes from the internet with like 20 functions and only using one of them. -
xhtml2069yCopy entire thing is of a non-developer thing... maybe i said my words in a different way...
think... if you got a project coded by 10-20 programmers... one wont write that from scratch with just the logic of its working...
one will just look at the code and will debug that and remove the unnecessary part. -
@xhtml I have bever worked on projects that big. What kind of scale am I thinking of?
A good programmer can get more done than 10 bad programmers, but a bad programmer's code can keep 10 good programmers busy for years.
