OPPO sure has the BALLS to fucking install ads on MY FUCKING PHONE, first they force installed “Hot Apps” and “Hot Games” and I can’t remove it. I was like “Yeah sure whatever”. Then they installed sticker ads on THE BUILT IN KEYBOARD. “Ok”. This fucking shit actually installed ads on my fucking notification panel, and pop up a warning every once in two days asking me to”🔥 Update your software to latest version 💢” WITH THAT KIND OF TEXT AND EMOTICONS

FUCK YOU OPPO

    OnePlus FTW!

OxygenOS is very customizable, has dark mode, and the lest bloatware I have seen on any Android OS.

It ain't perfect, but it's my favorite!

@AlgoRythm too scared since I might brick my phone

OPPO is just a phone to test market response for OnePlus premium phones.

OnePlus will be getting this feature soon I imagine xD

@gaaraDev is that the tool or the OS?

Just switch to an iPhone all your problems will be solved :)

@serverconnected you have triggered the “iPhone sucks” comments. Also I have both android and iphone
  • 2
@devTea 😂😂but it does solve your ads pop up problems any many other problems too
  • 1
@AlgoRythm Yep OxygenOS is the best, One Plus fan boy here.

@serverconnected and introduces problems you didn't habe before. You don't notice most of them immediately but for sure if you try to get out of apples ecosystem and/or your 1k aluminium slab nears it's end of life 3 years down the line

@serverconnected btw im not saying iPhones are garbage. But iphonr/Android isn't a "one is better than the other one" situation. Every platform has its pros and cons for some its Apple for others like me it's android.

    I have a theory:
Try to set your phone to different region.
Let me explain: I use MI8 and a lot of users complain about ads in MIUI, but mine is set to Italy (so face unlock works, don't ask why) and I haven't seen any ads ever in the phone UI.

@devTea tbh i have a xiaomi phone and I have the same thing with ads. but you know what, I don't really mind. because the ads make the damn phone SO much cheaper. I bought my mi 6 ( which was the flagship phone 3 years ago or something) for around 200$ bacl then. I honestly can't complain much for what they offer for that price. plus, I found a ton of ways to minimize the ads.

@Admin-who it’s never okay to install ads on stuff that you pay for
  • 1
@devTea I don't mind it if it reduces the price. in fact I even chose it when I bought my Amazon Kindle. and knew about it before buying my phone.
  • 1
@devTea However I think that implementing a premium feature that removes ads for let's say X$ would be better than ads forever.

    LineageOS all the things.
Except when they run Oxygen OS.

I have OP3 for more than 2 years now, I get Android 9 update few days ago. everything is just good for me. the only thing I needed to customize is the dark mode and the launcher.

Hey, you can remove all these bloatware/adware from your phone by referring the XDA guide:

    for oneplus - https://xda-developers.com/uninstal...

    for Huawei - https://xda-developers.com/disable-...

For your OPPO phone the packages will have similar names.

@kgbemployee Samsung phones have ads now too.
