Dear management,

I require one vertical monitor for my JS, one vertical monitor for my HTML, one vertical monitor for my CSS, and two stacked ultrawide monitors for testing in browser.

Thanks,
Many loves,
Algo.

"We'll give you a 27in monitor, split the screen into 3 horizontally"

I gotta say, I have never WORKED with múltiple monitors.

@telephantasm I have two, most of my coworkers have three

LG has a new 49" 5k ultrawide with a special stand so that you can stack 2 on top of each other.

@AlgoRythm But what I forgot to ask is:

Does it really increase productivity? Like really really?

@telephantasm I would honestly say it helps me to have at least two screens. Anything past two has diminishing returns. But having enough real estate for all of my work is fantastic and saves me time and frustration flipping through all of my open programs

@telephantasm I have 2 and it's nice to look something up on the second.

I'd compare it like that: if you research something and have 2 books side by side, you can switch context really quickly. If you have one book containing all the information you'd waste time leafing (not sure if that's the right word) through the book.

Does your neck get sore? That's a lot of head swiveling.

@Nanos I guess that's why I play guitar and not drums. LOL.

Meanwhile co-workers keep making jokes because I never use my external monitor..

@Nanos Not to sound douchey, but, aren't you missing a zero at the of every amount, there? (😢)

@Nanos Man, where do you live... :O

Even in my piece of shit third world country salaries aren't that low for IT folks.

    Edit:

From the look of you screens, your job is not simple. I'm shocked you're getting paid that. Hope your situation improves soon!
