Just received a job résumé for a software engineer position. The very first skill listed:

MS Word.

    It could be that the documents created by former devs were so bad that they now require skills in Word.

    could be an older resume of mine.

    Got to get past those resume robots somehow, or maybe this poor guy/gal has had to do mail merge as part of a previous role or used word for documentation.

    @Massive-Dev Excel was the second skill listed. No joke. Several items down were finally things actually related to the position.

    I don’t know about you guys but, IMO, the first skill listed on pretty much all of our resumes should be: Google

    I had multiple people with that same thing apply for a dev position.. they didn't have any actual dev experience, but they could mail merge like crazy. Not sure how they got past HR
