Will a degree be useful in getting a job that would be closed off to you without it? (If so then worth it I'd say?)
Also, isn't tuition in Germany pretty cheap? I was checking out a few universities there for post-grad and they totally destroy eg. US/UK/Switzerland in terms of how small the tuition is. -
'Paying for the degree' - Are you studying at the RUB?
330€ / Semester isn't that much, compared to other countries. I pay less for my university, but I do not get a train ticket. -

The tuition fee is pretty cheap but we still need to cover living cost during our study.
What I am disappointed is that, what uni teach me right now will be useless in the job market..
A degree certainly help me pass the HR filter, but without the right skills, I won't pass the hiring manager.
Please rethink again if you want to do a postgrad.
If I know about this earlier, I would prefer join a coding camp or doing short courses. -
@cho-uc I agree with post graduation, but at least in my university of applied sciences there is being thought actual relevant stuff. Unfortunately - while less in IT, as there is an Ausbildung for some IT jobs - in Germany the piece of paper showing graduation seems to be quite relevant, before it is replaced by experience and references in later years.
I got luck getting a 'dual study', doing part time work in parallel to studying. In this way I get a real work experience besides the money.
Other people : save money to buy car, house, etc...
Me : save money to pay for this f*cking degree where 80% of what they taught will be useless after graduation.
