vane112805y@billgates Sorry to hear that.
I hoped they start selling innovative bag for $999 so I can pack some corpse there instead of using those cheap ugly bags. -
Those new stores suck. The old ones felt nicer to be in.
At least people are still buying them. Inc, me because I can’t get adobe shit on Linux without fucking around too much. -
@badcopnodonuts Just buy an OEM Windows Home/Pro key from some website that sells them for cheap, install Adobe shit and install WSL + Xming, boom! You get Adobe shit, Linux and you can also play all the games because it's Windows ;)
And suddenly you don't have to buy waaay overpriced paperweights that are lacking proper IO ports. -
lxmcf204105yUnsure if serious buuuut, how stable and safe would you call shares in apple, a mate and I are debating between either Microsoft, google or apple and can't seem to find stability information anywhere
-
@lxmcf well... I am no expert either but with the shit that Apple is doing, Microsoft doing weird and wrong shit like releasing unstable updates and trying too hard to get liked in the open source world I would bet my money on Google
-
lxmcf204105y@bytecode that was my thought but after the pixel 3 and lack of forward pushing with fuchsia just gets me worried about the stability and short term profitability
-
donuts238485y@lxmcf ur to late in the game. I bought Apple a few years ago when they started paying dividends. Bought 2 shares of Google too right when it popped from 500 to 1000, so wish I had bought more.... 100% instant return although it's been sorta flat since.
MSFT I just bought some but missed the pop, I'm thinking though Nadella probably continue doing whatever is good for msft.
I also bought gpro years ago..... Bad..... -
donuts238485yWhat I mean is the market probably isn't going to jump. I think headed for a crash soon or at least after elections.
-
@lxmcf well... Google does more than just Android. Google Assistant/Home is getting better every day and I think it has a great potential. I use my Google Home every day and many times it's priceless having it give you instant answers for questions like: "How long will it take me to get to the main railway station by public transport?"; "What's the weather forecast for the next week in [my destination]" (both asked while furiously trying to pack everything so that I don't miss my train... needless to say that I also took my Home Mini with me)
-
lxmcf204105y@billgates best time to buy (if you like risking your money), buy low; sell high and all that shit
-
donuts238485y@lxmcf yes and well now isn't exactly low and the valuations have been really high for a while. Question though is when and well what's the alternative.
I should rebalance my 401k that had much more money and currently it's like 80% stocks...
Feels sorta like that game show, Press Your Luck.... Somehow got lucky this year.... Though it would crash when Trump was elected but...
So I sorta just followed along and steal the koolaid lol...
As an Apple shareholder, seeing people with those white bags and boxes sitting in this store seems reassuring that Apple should remain a cash cow
