I was hired as a team lead. I'd only managed small online teams before but now it's an office job. Any books and articles on technical team leading you may suggest?

Depends on what your leadership focus is. Client communication needs good requirements engineering, project proposals and task definitions are more software engineering, as well as architecture and systems and then there's DevOps. I can recommend books on either subject but it depends on your role.

No matter the focus, being a suitable and practical leader is more important than the theory behind it. Get to know your team and your clients and tweak your strategy accordingly. I've had two completely theoretical team leaders during my career who directly came from business school and they just tried to apply what they have learned from their books... Don't do that. Take it as a starting point, but your first priority must be to adapt to your team and clients and their different "work cultures" as pragmatically as possible. Strategy is the best theory, applicability comes along the way.

Not super technical, but Rands in Repose blog has some great posts regarding management and people in a technical context. His books are great as well.
