I want to kick this stupid kids ass!

So I'm on a Slack channel for live help for people who are learning JavaScript and I stick around and help people just while I'm by my computer. This kid is on there is constantly asking questions, which I don't mind but I mean I think part of programming is looking up the freakin info to figure it out occasionally. Anyways-

So in each lesson you watch a video ~10-15 mins long and then do an assignment. Well this kid constantly dm's me and asks me for help so I help him. Then as soon as he is done with that lesson quiz, 30 secs later I see him post a question from the NEXT lesson on the Slack channel. I'm like look you dumbass kid, you are going to have to learn this stuff. I mean for shit's sake! He is just on there asking questions for answers to the damn questions and not even watching the freakin lesson videos.

What a waste of my freakin time and effort to help this idiot. Plus there's a test at the end which no one can offer help on. So this dumbass is going to finish the lessons and then not know a damn thing in order to pass the test. I'm pissed that he doesn't even try and I'm over here helping him like an idiot. NERD RAGE!

Is he young? I had to deal with one of those before, I sent one guy to SoloLearn and helped him through teamviewer. Constantly wanted to go the 'quick route' but did not know anything about html or css, neither did he have the patience to learn nor respect for the craft of programming

After I told him that he wasn't going to learn anything by getting me to answer the questions I hung up, next moment he's sharing what he called my 'design' (2 divs in the middle that I showed him) and asking others to 'help'him improve it

As if getting the answers to a free online test is going to improve your programming skills, this is one profession you can barely cheat in (altho it happens)

What did you end up doing with rhe guy? 🤔

@alexbrooklyn I literally called him out on the channel and tons of other people said that he was asking them for answers too. He basically cried wolf and we don't know when he really needs help and when he doesn't. So I told him that he needs to show code or shut up lol 😂🤣😂

@Frederick I think you're right. I mean, thy are just hurting themselves. They will never do well in their career if they do that.

@evilcoder haha I hope I don't work in anything like that!

Next time he asks, might be good to answer with the timestamp of the video lol

I'm learning too but I prefer to figure things out first than ask to be hand-held all the way through.
