Sorry to hear that, but don't let it linger. Have a drink if you need it, take a day if you need it, then pick yourself up and get applying to other places to give yourself a fresh start.

If really it is unjustified, lawsuit. In most countries it can be done online and you have nothing to pay.
I hade twice problems with employers.
First is when I was quitting my French job. France is fuckedup : you need to give them 3 months’ notice, which I did. But I miscalculated at 1 day. So the “last” day (I was already on a plane for Canada) they told me : “You didn’t come to work today, which is your last day. We are not paying you anything”. I just threatened lawsuit and was paid all dues in full in 3 days.
Then in Canada : “Hi, we are not paying you until we find a job for you (Legal here). While recruiting 3 persons with the SAME profile” : Left on the spot, sued them got my 1 month package.
Don’t EVER hesitate to sue if you are legally in your rights
