Switched back to windows again, and Holy crap development is so much faster! It certainly has to do with the fact that I'm using WSL2, but but I'm so excited for next year, when it's officially out.

Instead of waiting 5 seconds for nodemon to restart my application, it's almost instantaneous now

I had a similar reaction switching back to Windows after 6 years of os x and Linux „it’s actually not terrible, it even seems to run smoothly“..

Give it a few months. I’m pretty sure you’ll change your mind again.

@just8littleBit yeah I'm not so sure. Microsoft have done some really interesting stuff the past few years. Also the fact that I can play a 4k video now without my entire laptop stuttering, is a huge plus for me

@just8littleBit 2015 MacBook pro. It only has integrated graphics, where's my Lenovo from the same year has a GeForce 820m. Makes a world of difference

Bashing into Windows is for people with attention deficit. The path of true programmer is to be patient and learn and understand as much as possible about any operating system that you come into contact with.

@Pyjong Plus having “Past three years of 100% Ubuntu Desktop experience” isn’t the most attractive thing to have on your resume.

It’s like that Sponge Bob episode where he learns how to drive blindfolded. Takes blindfold off, doesn’t know how to drive. First day at work using Windows after a three year hiatus.
