Hi guys! I got an opportunity in one of the biggest consulting/strategy companies in the world, however I need to write the OCA and OCP Java exams to get in. The OCA is in about a month + 2-3 weeks and OCP towards the end of the year. I kinda know Java but the exams seem to be hard. May you please guide/advise on how I can get over this mountain :)? Anything that worked for you? Or did not work?

If I'm not mistaking they have a (Java written) training tool with every possible question and more. I did everyone of them in preparation and the sets that weren't sufficient in terms of a real test I did at least a second time. At least that worked for me. Good luck to you!

@pschik @pschik Yes that's how it works, what resources did you use to prepare? I am thinking of purchasing some mock tests to play on. I'll do my best thanks!

Lemme get home and I'll provide you a link with the mentioned preparation software. It's quite sufficient imo. And for free if I remember correctly
And maybe you may want to provide your opinion after the test about how much you could learn for yourself from it because I liked it... At least some kind of xD but in general most people don't like certifications and I think I know why (to put it diplomatically) but I'm really interested in any kind of own opinion on this subject so I'd be glad if you'd provide some response here to that test x) I mean at least for fellow Java devs... It's from oracle itself and even if you don't get a further understanding of Java you'll understand their compiler waaay better xD ;P

Hey man! I took the test last week Thursday and got 70%. I learnt a lot with regards to the basics of Java and OOP, I found myself diving in deep on concerpts getting a better understanding. I think the certification is good because you learn a lot of things.
