Yes, Microsoft indeed does some good open-source stuff now that they've realized there's more money to make from selling services rather than licenses.

Microsoft is one of largest contributor to open-source community. ( i think it's on top of this list)

Yeah I have noticed that Microsoft has started doing a lot of OSS. It's just that usually when that's the case, people are also quick to point out that it's made by Microsoft. Haven't seen a single person mention it with TS
