Auto tuning for Azure SQL databases is cool but :
DON’T allow it to automatically drop indexes ! (My bad, I should’ve tested that before)
It dropped one of the most used indexes in the DB. Yep, just like that. 150+ timeout exceptions and customers going crazy

    @beegC0de Nop, it wasn’t ;p Everything good now. Azure is not allowed to drop indexes from now on !

    @unsignedint Well, to be fair, it happened once (today) in more than one year.
    Most of auto added indexes where right on point. But still mostly it’s manual work for which I don’t have time ! I would kill for a DBA for one day !
