What do you do when you feel down, in a programmer perspective?

I wait for that period to pass, unless it is a production error

I try to learn something new, fix something hard, kill things on a computer, talk about alien conspiracies with my friends, or eat something with chocolate in it. Also, walking helps me clear my head.

Personally, I just try to work on smaller things. I've had a text file just full of things I want to get done at some point (image attached is the file currently, after spending this week getting a bunch of them done). As I go on working on smaller things, it gives me some motivation to work on bigger things, plus I learn stuff from doing the smaller things.

One thing I did just a couple days ago was a small script to upload an image to imgur. I'd actually never actually used an API other than a small GET request, so it taught me a bit about using an API. Don't know where that may help me, but ya never know.

I either start making something else or start trucking in VR

I read other people's rants to make me feel better

I have a few methods. I either stop working on the project for a few and learn/dabble with something else programming wise to take a break (I’m actually doing that rn) or take a break for a few days and just play some games or watch some stuff.

@infernalempress I also have a text file for that purpose
