How are there in 2019 still people thinking ip bans are a good/working way to ban people of of game servers/websites?

    What other options do they have? 🤔

    Besides, not everybody uses a vpn or changes their ip. I'm sure ipbans are enough to ban a majority of people that aren't too tech-savvy

    @alexbrooklyn with private Internet connections restarting the router is enough to get a new ip and a troll will almost certainly find that out.
    Plus your allways running the chains of blocking random innocent people.

    @crafter even with private net some countries and providers don't enable customers dynamic IP.. I know a lot of people for who you'd be surprised through how much hassle they needed go to have their IP changed..

    🤷‍♂️seems to work ok enough when blocking a nations ip ranges.

    Why block 1 when you can block em all....
