dan-pud8585yDefinitely don't be ingesting shit.
Pick up a new hobby. I find something that's very laborous good for the mind. CrossFit, cycling, swimming, even something like gardening. Weeding is great to get stuck into for a couple of hours. You'll find your mind is still working on problems in the background and you'll have better ideas in the long run and it's sustainable.
SLEEP -
Ignore the hipster above that does crossfit for better compliments at work.
Many of us tried all the horseshit and for most the only way is prescription free or prescribed sleep accelerators, otherwise you lay there thinking about work and life in general.
You might be dead tired from all those fancy "natural" solutions, but you'll still be laying there, just much more beat up. -
x2sam2255yTry to do something (like reading) daily just before you go to sleep. Once, it becomes habitual, whenever you sit down to do that thing, you'll feel sleepy. It'll take some time but you'll get used to it.
Try to stay away from any prescription/ non prescription drugs though. -
lloyd190975yI keep on programming on personal projects to keep my mind off programming stuff from work. 🤷
In terms of getting better sleep, I'll get back to you, one day, hopefully. -

In all honesty, if you were to die at this moment, your company would shoehorn some other jerk in to do the work you left behind. THEY DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT YOU. Live your life; fuck this worry shit, or you'll wind up bitter or dead or both. -
I feel you. There just should be other important things in your life than work.
Start my days at 6am local to be able to have an entire days’ worth of access to my team because they’re all East Coast and I’m Pacific. And then work until it’s 5pm local regularly because I lose track of time. And then I can’t just turn it off at night, so then I’m restless thinking about the things I could be doing to make the project better.
How the hell do the rest of you stop thinking about work after work?
