Yeah, my new e-scooter arrived today! I just have to get the insurance sticker that is legally required here; I'll do that on Monday.

@RantSomeWhere They're much better to combine with public transport than bicycles.

Even folding bicycles are still quite big and clunky, and heavy when carrying over stairs from and to metro or underground stations.

The Brompton is a semi-exception, but also rather heavy when fully equipped, and it's really expensive.

Regular bicycles cannot be used with public transport. Either it's not allowed at all like in long-distance trains, or you need to pay a ticket for every way, or taking it with you is forbidden at least during the relevant commuting hours.

    What @Fast-Nop said.

    Also:
    - no more sweaty back and chest when arriving to the office (one that has no shower)
    - fast
    - light, easy to carry, compact
    - minimum amount of moving parts, low wearing off

But then again, I still do not own one. Maybe there are more
