OK so encrypted my system drive during install. So far so cool. It also prompts me to enter the password before loading the OS. However if I misstype it it kicks me in grub rescue mode instead of asking me to reenter it. Wtf D: Can I change this?

    Is your /boot encrypted?

    @gronostaj

    Most major consumer-oriented distros now don't create a partition for /boot unless the user manually does so.

    @bahua wat? how do you bootstrap the system without /boot on a full disk encryption (os side)???

    regular "non-encrypted" install will not generate a /boot. but if you choose full encryption at install time, it will generate it.

    @magicMirror Manjaro GUI installer didn't do it. Worked with Architect tho.

    @magicMirror A minimal part of the bootloader with enough capabilities to decrypt /boot is placed at disk start.
