How can discord verify that you own the account? Asking out of curiousity

Do you use a password manager? Dif you have a strong password and all that? 🤔 Is it possible that your password got leaked in a data breach?

Getting pissed at customer support is not helping you, probably.
Also, stop using "hacked" as a synonym for "my password was found out through a public dump of data".

    Firstly: get a good password.
Secondly: Don't yell at the poor helpdesk people, they aren't at fault. Getting pissed at them is just unfair, their job is already incredibly unpleasant.
Also, you will need to have means to verify your account ownership.

    Two-factor authentication.

Oh, and don't reuse your passwords! Let this be a lesson.

A bunch of emails got compromised because of some shitty sites. So he might have found your email in one of those lists. If you use the same password as your email, it's easy.

Google for that and check if your email is on one of those lists, and change your password.

    1. Dont use Discord, its one of the most heavily monitored communication methods.

    2. Get a password that is more random and isn't listed somewhere in the top 10,000 passwords of 2018 list.

    3. 2FA all accounts that allow it

    4. Check haveibeenpwnd to see if your accounts have already been included in a data dump

    5. Stop being mean to innocent help desk people who already are living lives of quiet desperation without some lady who cant take proper control of her accounts or take responsibility for her own mistakes screaming at them. If my account was compromised that easily I would feel ashamed, not be sending emails in all caps to overworked and underpayed people who had nothing to do with the situation.
