Virtualbox 6 sucks!
So i'm on a mac and i need some linux goodness on the quick. But the screen resolution stays at 800x600px! On my high dpi screen it's so tiny i need a magnifying glass to do anything on the guest os. And i can't change the resolution nor scale it up for the life of it. Never had that before. Really frustrating!!! 😤

    Sounds like missing guest additions. Installing them should fix the problem easily.

    Install or update guest addons, sometimes it gets "stuck" and needs reinstallation (probably need to uninstall and then reinstall it).

    @RememberMe @Benedikt add-ons require a desktop environment. Bare bones Linux distros like server distros cannot take advantage of anything more than the default screen size.

    If your issue is the one described, start the server then connect over an SSH client, OP

    solved it, installed virtualbox version 5.7 and elementary OS runs as it should without addons. 🙂

    I want to try the "non planar" method for 3D printing which promises smooter prints.
