What in the hell is a fucking phone manager, and why, or for what would I need something to manage MY goddamn phone?

That's what you get for buying a phone loaded with bloatware. You won't see that on a Pixel for example.

@linuxxx If you mean that GApps are spyware, I somewhat agree with you (although that's exaggerated), but a Pixel is still the easiest phone to unlock the bootloader of and flash whatever you want. You can go completely Googleless if you want.

That’s one reason why I moved away from the android ecosystem, I wasn’t happy with all the mandatory bloatware Android has, I barely used half of the inbuilt apps, the Samsung galaxy s4 was the worst for bloatware
