This week I had a technical interview for a Python developer position.
They asked me Javascript questions.
Not a single Python question.

Not FYL. An interview is a two way street and if a company is this incompetent you want to know early before you've invested more time in them.

@norhther Is that the time it took you to apply or the time for the dev test? If you knew right away sitting down to the test that this company was balls-to-the-wall crazy and you didn't want to work for them, there's no reason to stay and try to finish the test. If any step in the interview is going this awfully, you're allowed to politely excuse yourself and explain why. There's nothing wrong with saying, "this is a Python development position and I don't think that a JS test is appropriate", and it provides valuable feedback to the hiring manager. If you're too shy to say that, you're not required to either, just say you're not interested in pursuing the position anymore. Employers will absolutely end an interview early if they think it's going terribly, and you're allowed to do the same.
