Got a new job in data processing. Took them a couple days to get me a laptop and two weeks after that to get the core programs I need to begin working. Found out today that I *still* don't have access to everything I need for my job.

@asgs oh they very very much do. The company's just a fucking mess. Like we have well over a dozen applications that do the same thing for "new" data types going back 55 years.

Legacy systems using legacy code. Instead of future-proofing anything; they have instead chose to outsource, stich it on, and force us to use workarounds when something breaks instead of actually fixing it.

Get out quickly, if they dont value your time they wont value your work.
