Conspiracy theory: An Arch user got laid with a vegan and had a child.. the name of which became Nix.
I get it, you use NixOS, great. But what impresses me the most is that its users somehow find a way to sneak it into literally *any* conversation...

    I've never met a nixOS user because I've never heard of it.

    You lost me at "an arch user got laid" 😅

    @Codex404 consider yourself lucky :p

    @C0D4 This is the same reason physicists invented parallel universes. The hope that in some alternate reality they could get laid.

    @Demolishun you know, that actually makes sense.

    Arch users would never do this. OP uses Arch btw (iirc)

    @lucaIO actually not anymore! The last Arch workstation finally bit the dust, I now have Debian there to increase the coherence across the network.

    Btw I used Arch 😛

    @Condor I am relatively new to manjaro and I must say I am thinking about going to a Debian based distro. My problem is that I very often do not find a program in the official repos that can be found in the Debian repos. I have never heard about this by someone else so maybe I am just doing something wrong but it really bothers me.
    Is there anything about Debian that you really don't like?

    @lucaIO Some people might find some Debian's packages a bit outdated, but that's not a problem for everyone.

    @lucaIO Debian doesn't have a whole lot of software by default, certainly less than say Ubuntu does. And it's usually older for the purpose of keeping things stable. The PPA's for Ubuntu bionic seem to work well in Debian however. On Manjaro you have AUR though, no? So you could use an AUR handler like pacaur (or whatever Manjaro uses now, please tell me that they stopped using yaourt), the amount of software in there is incredible...
