@Jilano nope, tell me more?!
did not recieve an email of updated terms here in germany -
Root797675y@Jilano According to the email, nothing actually changed, they just made everything clearer. Though I didn't bother to check because I don't use their services anymore (at least not directly; thanks, tizonia!) so I don't care very much.
What did you find? -
@Jilano so... if you don't bring them any revenue, they can lock you out of YouTube? Interesting
-
Root797675y@ScaryException Neat, so adblockers, then. And tizonia. And scrapers. And any content producers whose videos google thinks it cannot advertise on.
Guess i'm going to get banned pretty quickly.
/shrug -
@Root well this one kind of makes sense
"The terms could be a way for YouTube to remove channels that promote hate speech, conspiracy theories, or harmful messages whose content isn’t extreme enough to warrant an outright ban, as these are unlikely to be commercially viable. But if this is the case, it needs to be clearly explained." -
Root797675y@ScaryException Totally sounds like censorship.
@Jilano Huh. Really? Well, I suppose Google's censorship isn't anything new.
