I kinda feel the pain of the developers over at Bungie. They just had over 15h downtime of Destiny 1 and 2 and had to stay up all night to fix it.

You did a good job - have a nice weekend :)

    Yeah, I saw that yesterday. I was impressed that many people were understanding in the thread on Twitter.

    This is wholesome. Most downtime results in bitching and moaning.

    It's nice to see developers praising developers. I approve!

    @deadPix3l Well, the bitching is the result of people that don't know what's going on, or how hard it really can be.. :/

    I feel for the devs because of crunch more than anything. 60, 80 hour weeks are sort of the norm.

    @Root Also 24 hour for a single build. They got it to 12 hours in the last few months.

    Sorry for the late comment. I was just surfing devrant for the destiny 2 tag

    @Sony-wf-1000xm3 I don’t mind.

    And yeah, some of the game devs have to do basically do IT support now as well. Hot fixes are crunch, too.

    “Crunch” means seemingly endless hours of unpaid overtime that are higher priority than sleep, health, family, and your children. They only apply to game devs and artists; basically never to managers.
