The thing I dislike about Devrant is that our rants end up on Google. I know that you can use it on the web but I wish we just had the privacy of our rants just being in the community.

    Sometimes I forgot about that.
    But then a private community would result in 0 growth.

    Oh and btw, that could easily be dealt with using robots.txt if desired.

    Don't put anything on the internet you don't want made public? It's a small community, sure. But that rule literally always applies.

    If something is so confidential that you're worried about it being searchable, then you should probably not even be putting it on the internet to begin with.

    While I get the sentiment of OP here, @stuxnet is right.

    If you want something to remain private, don't put it on the internet. It's not as anonymous as it used to be anymore.

    @Angry But by that logic nobody should use online password managers...

    @linuxxx not without securing them down as much as possible with a strong master password, 2FA, and ip restrictions where possible should be used for password managers when they are cloud based.
