Retarded client sent us 25 minutes worth of videos of "bugs". Guess I am getting cancer after I watch them. The way he works on PC, the mouse movements, the speed, ...are just magnificient. My stomach is getting more and more sick each minute passes. Pray for my health.

    People will never use your shit in a way you designed it. It is a rule.

    @Lexter This guy seriously is stupid, I've seen a lot, but this one is really gem. If he worked in normal company, he would get kicked out the first minute ffs.

    @lamka02sk I know, i know, some clients are just cancer. Like our one:

    We: You pushing us into UX we know it will never work. It is way too big, has too much unnecessary content, is hard to navigate, collors are off and so.
    He: I think it will work.

    Yesterday:
    He: I hired UX designer week ago and i think WE did bad job. We must rethink whole site, make it more userfriendly, balance the colors and work with space better.

    WE? WE? WE you stupid motherfucker? No problem, pay again.

    Back to topic: Just watch it, do some keyboard magic and forget, because it's a way how to make job done.

    @Lexter I'd terminate that client immediately.

    My principle: Client is a dick? Yes? Here's the door, you're wasting my time I could've invested in a different client.

    @PublicByte Well, I mean we talk only through lawyers now so... :D
  • 0
    @lamka02sk I wouldn't let lawyers near the decisions a client makes. This provides another level of "Oh well, I misunderstood the client."
  • 1
    @PublicByte You think we didn't try the normal way? Huh

    @Lexter solution: can we have an email that says exactly that we must do <stupid idea>?
  • 1
    @stop No, it was phone call with my manager. Even if it was e-mail, we can't really show it.
    It was just example with some clients with we can't really talk, we just work for them. We just squeeze the money out of them.

    @Lexter I don't mind squeezing money out of doucherockets. 🤷‍♀️

    @Lexter THIS.

    If you don’t like how client use your software : drop him. Ohhh wait, you still want his money ?

    It’s not for client to adopt to your software, it’s for your software to adapt to your clients.

    Same,
    - people using a standard mouse instead of the touchpad(WHICH HAS MULTIPLE FEATURES) on the Macbook pro
    - people not maximizing their ide and not using the whole screen for productivity
    - people not using multiple desktops aka mission control

    GIVES ME CANCER

    @yggleftright

    LOL.
    Standard mouse will be faster and more efficient then any touchpad. In every single scenario.
    Multiple screens ? Why ? I have 30 inches 4k, I have enough space to do whatever I want.
    I Must agree on maximizing tho.

    @NoToJavaScript

    Have you used the macbook pro touchpad?

    It has multiple gestures which can do a lot of stuff. 3 button mouse doesn't do much.

    I was not talking about Multiple screens - i was talking about multiple desktops

    @yggleftright No and I’ll never use any product of this retarded company
    It’s the same shit as Lenovo, dell and co for touchpads. They all have gestures, multi touch etc. Still waaay less efficient than mouse.
    And WTF 3 buttons? I have 7 and regularly use 5.

    @NoToJavaScript
    Well everyone has to use a MacBook pro at my workplace.

    People don't get fancy mouses at work. Even if they do, most of them are not going to use all the functionalities.

    The quality of the trackpads on Dell, thinkpad/Lenovo is not as good plus those trackpads are way smaller in size, it feels like someone put a sticker in that area.

    @NoToJavaScript

    A 3 button mouse

    @yggleftright

    The FIRST thing I always did at any job :

    Bring my own keyboard and my own mouse.

    I can’t code without my red switches (And I change by blue switches if I want to drive coworkers mad) and nice mouse.

    Once I even brought my own screen (Fuck their 17 inches 1080p)
  • 1
    @yggleftright Yeah, if I'm forced to use THIS mouse, I'll leave the company the same day
  • 0
    @yggleftright yo 1995 called, they want their mouse back!

    If this was part of my desktop, I'd bring my own if salary was nice, or never accept hire in the first place. Who the fuck used a 3 button mouse and why the fuck would you bring it into an argument between mouse and touchpad, wtf man?
  • 1
    @ArcaneEye lol I'm just saying, a 3button mouse gives me cancer man

    @yggleftright 3 button mices are trash, I use this 6 button chinese 4 dollar ones and I am totally happy... 1 button is double click which is in combination with forward and back really useful inside an IDE. They don’t last long, usually just 1 year but the are perfect fit for me and my hand.

    Edit: just like this one

    You guys know that the scrollwheel is actually the 3rd button? I guess you do...

    Touchpads are inferior to mice (+keyboads).
