    People who do business use it, if you want cat videos, that's what Facebook is for.
    I'd say is useful, if he is *your* client, if he's your employers, then they could still be a good source for a recommendation.

    @Jumpshot44 i actually use linked in more than Facebook. Mostly to follow industry experts i look up to. I don't know a better alternative.

    @lig1 if the client accepts me it's his choice to disclose that I am contracted to him. It's only a breach of the NDA if you name-drop without permission.
