    Anyone tried contabo?

    @gitpush Me! I like them a lot :)

    @linuxxx so I'm guessing they r reliable and privacy is important for them.

    What about their support just in case of help needed?

    And where r their servers based?

    @gitpush Yeah, Contabo is pretty nice. Only issue is that they don't run on 100% renewable energy.

    Servers somewhere in Germany.

    Hetzner (afaik)

    @gitpush Not entirely sure about what specific privacy things you're looking for but AFAIK they take it seriously. Servers located in Germany!

    @gitpush Support is good, direct calling abilities 😄

    @endor how dare you recommending this pile of shit? 😩

    @Wombat really? Why shit?

    @endor I really hate their overcomplicated UI. After moving to digital ocean, I never would go back to hetzner.

    @Wombat They have an API if you don't want the UI.

    @theKarlisK Not what OP was asking. And that's a terrible VPN.

    @theKarlisK Proton my Ass.
    There is no truly trustworthy VPN.

    Go and get your own server. Contabo I can only suggest.

    Fast setup, fast support AND nice people in support. They really understood that you have a server for a serious reason.
    Also, they only go down for very critical problems and you will be notified about every change they do. Even normal planned service is planned at least two weeks ahead and be done at low-access time. You can also intervene and suggest a better time to service.

    @theKarlisK any commercial VPN service doesn't do jack shit for your privacy. They're just glorified proxies.

    @Wombat I guess I'm not very familiar with the entirety of Hetzner's UI, but the cloud interface seems just incredibly simple and responsive to me.
    Baremetal servers and DNS though - yeah, those look ugly and dated.

    @theKarlisK VPNs are made to connect devices together in a kind of virtual LAN. For any other reason, there might not be much of a point in using one.

    @theKarlisK fair enough
