Why doesnt github have dark mode >:(

    Pretty silly, for sure. Stylus helps a lot though.

    I just use the "dark reader" extension (Firefox & Chrome)

    Also Stack Overflow... I don't want to download an extension that will try and change the appearance, just add a dark mode

    @FWMoor dark reader works very well though. you can also selectively choose individual settings for selected sites, including dark/light mode, brightness, contrast and sepia. you have to disable it for some pages because it doesn't work with the style but even light mode with decreased brightness and sepia will already reduce eye strain. Much better than nothing at all.
