I’ve recently started at a company where though I’m one of the youngest out of my colleagues I am on the same role-level as them (if that makes sense) and it’s different to my old job where I was at a start up as a junior developer (not very appreciated there tbh), here however, I feel like I am treated as their equal and in most scenarios depended on, especially if it’s a piece of work I did. I know its not a big deal but I’m not sure how to handle all this importance lol, I can’t lie I do feel sometimes I might have imposter syndrome. How would you deal in a situation like this/do things to improve self confidence?

Prove your work via types and testing, do research and make plans, then challenge those plans for accuracy. Measure yourself, always. Against expectations, against others, use that data to inform your self improvement.

Basically, be right, a lot. Easiest way to self confidence is to have a low % error.

@SortOfTested Thanks! This is useful. I’ve usually been low on self confidence and accepting that I know what I’m doing is right, at my new place I get to verify that within my work results and it’s nice but I think the attention it draws is what I’m not used to lol. Gonna work on it though!

I'd say this is a positive problem and how a team should work. You'll grow into it by time.
