I’ve recently started at a company where though I’m one of the youngest out of my colleagues I am on the same role-level as them (if that makes sense) and it’s different to my old job where I was at a start up as a junior developer (not very appreciated there tbh), here however, I feel like I am treated as their equal and in most scenarios depended on, especially if it’s a piece of work I did. I know its not a big deal but I’m not sure how to handle all this importance lol, I can’t lie I do feel sometimes I might have imposter syndrome. How would you deal in a situation like this/do things to improve self confidence?4

So, 2 weeks ago I started my new job at a company I had my eye on for almost a year, feeling super blessed because after leaving my previous job with such a toxic work environment, it is so refreshing to be around new people who actually value you. I’m so excited to learn new skills and push myself towards the role I was dreaming of since university. :-)3

Sometimes I wish I could just quit everything and start freelancing....but it's easier said than done....5

So... I was using my laptop one day and randomly my mouse started spazzing out, I thought maybe it's broken or something so I paused the video I was watching and waited for a couple of seconds, soon after I played the video, my mouse started moving around again, closing windows and opening up different things. I got so scared I shut my laptop down before it could open anything else.
A few minutes later I turn it back on and everything looks fine, I thought whatever that was all about is probably gone, had to double check my security settings etc. and let it be for now.
A few days later I found out that it was actually my dad, in the next room trying to hook up his Bluetooth mouse to his iMac which for some reason got connected to my laptop instead. He was moving it around trying to see whether or not it's working, thus the spazzing out of it on my screen...lmao boy I felt so relieved after that 😂
~not really a hack however it gave me a good laugh2 -
Bit off topic but...does anyone ever shut their laptop down? Or do you just close the screen once you're done for the day and continue from where you left off the next?6

The place where I work part time, my role is to teach children how to code basic things in python, html and CSS.
There's a child who's been coming to this club for the past year, she's only 8 and is smarter than any other child I've seen in person.
Turns out both her parents are developers which is why she has an interest in coding too. It's so refreshing to see things like these, honestly. I hope my child in the future is like her lol.3 -
Apple are annoyingly out of touch, has anyone seen the iPad Pro advert? They run the ad where a kid asks 'What is a computer?' and it boils my blood because a tablet is basically a computer. I get the point they're trying to make but assuming that 'a post-PC world is closer than you think' is a bit far fetched.
I mean are they planning on discontinuing the iMac? I don't think so. Annoying and smug ad for their touch screen computer.4
