    At least, the original wielder of the idea, Phonebloks, stands a chance to survive in the market.

    Maybe I'm a bit naive (not really a hardware guy) but the whole concept seemed like every component needs twice the soldering, twice as much compatibility issues so maybe twice as expensive. (In comparison look at the price difference for upgrade laptops vs none upgradable once)

    All that while I can easily buy a new knock off cheap Chinese people phone for a fraction of the cost of a flagship phone.

    And if I think about it, my phone is mostly used for basic browsing running apps and the occasional pic. No real need for an upgradable powerhouse IMO.
