Autocorrect

As a swiss german speaker i can't use autocorrect and neither voice assistants. Because there is no standard dictionary for that dialect/language. And no company would make the effort for only 5 million people. But it's also awesome not to worry making spelling misstakes because you know you'll be understood.

@heyheni my wife's huawei has lithuanian keyboard with autocorrect. There's <3mln of us, so your chances are not that slim!

@netikras yes but Lithuanian doesn't have 3 million variants for each speaker hasn't it?
However we have Googles Europe headquarter here in zurich. So I'm curious if one of those googlers did a swiss german natural language processing model in his spare time. 😄

@heyheni why 3mln variants? Don't you have one official dialect or smth?
We have 4 main dialects, some of them have a few subdialects. If everyone was speaking in their own 'variant' it would be madness.. 😁

@netikras there is no standard for swiss german. Each city has it's variant and every 50 km there is a shift on pronounciation. Sure there high german which guides us. However nobody is speaking that in daily life. It may be madness, but it's quite liberating to write as you speak.
