Dear Airbnb Hosts,

The extra cleaning fee isn't just extra profit for you. I will gladly pick up after myself, before I leave. That said, if you expect me to deep clean your flat, consider leaving equipment to do so. If you send me a shitty email because I didn't buy a broom, mop, bucket and kitchen rags to stock your investment property, I'll tell you about where you can stick that noise.

Sincerely,
Fuck you

@M1sf3t reminds me of a businessplace in my hometown that a business was trying to sell so they could move. It was posted for sale for 10 yrs as when the roof caved in instead of fixing it they pulled out the whole roof and welded some metal plates together, dropped it on top and welt "yeah that'll do it"

nobody wanted to spend money on something the size of a large shed that needed a new roof so it was turned into an Airbnb. Roof is still like that, and that is also the ceiling now as what was left of the old one rotted away.

While I personally haven't had a lot of experience with AirBNB on account of my age, these horror stories make me consider just staying in a hotel when I travel.

Oh, wow.. I hope you also left a review on airbnb...

If it's not a secret, which city/country you were staying at?

I never had problems with anyone, any misunderstandings were solved on the spot..but I guess it depends on the host & country habbits.. We've never strokeout, always had pleasant experince..

We've always swept the place if broom was present, washed the dishes and left them on the drainer and took the trash out if bin was outside..if not, we tied all trash up in the large bag and left it by the door.. Regardles if there was a cleaning fee or not.. I'm not the type of person to leave everything where it landed..

But a friend of mine who was renting out..one time a person left all the trash all over the place.. I think some landed in the aquarium aswell.. o.O

Uk flat. Honestly, I have no idea, he messaged me a week after I left, and had asked me to leave the place unlocked with the key on the counter, so who knows.

Either way, if you charge a £200 cleaning fee upon booking, that should cover, you know, cleaning.
