Whenever someone mentions FANG stocks I try to remind them: top 10 auto companies invested 9 figures in self driving vehicles. The open source community has invested thousands of warm bodies and a million man hours. No luck.
The only one that has the regulatory approval *in multiple states* AND over a million miles driven without incident?
Google.
Because of this singular factor Google stock is undervalued by a factor of x1000 minimum.
When self driving vehicles become mainstream in commercial activity, the company that's going to be responsible can and will be Google because they're the *only* company with the tech, the track record, and regulatory approval. Waymo was a bangin investment on their part. -
vane112805y@Wisecrack well auto companies have more experience in lobbying and are hiring more people so they are more important for gov then one company that bought lidar technology guy, patented his inventions, and then started suing his next companies over patent infringements
