Probably the biggest problem of my life was starting to code at age 28 instead of, let's say 14...

@dedcde sort of, but it lacks decrement operator, a "fatal" bug.

Same for me I think about it a lot

Can 16 work or am I too late?

Well, Better late than never 😅

Started at 10 or 11 and at least every two years or so I feel like a complete novice trying to learn some new fangled paradigm/language/technology that came out.

Started at 26. Happy with a job now but dammit I wish I had really dug into it when I was in high school, or even junior high. Looking back now, so many opportunities I could have dug a little deeper and realized how much I love programming.

Heyguys, Do you know the great thing about code is? that I get older and they stay the same age... Ha

The main thing younger starters have on you is obvious passion. A recruiter sees they started so young, they must love this shit.

You just need to make your CV obvious too. Lots of open source collaboration on github for example.

@rtannerf that's how I set fire to my BBC, more or less

I started a month before the beginning of freshman year, college. I'd already chosen CS as my major, even though up until that point I had no formal/informal education in CS, even in high school.
It's been a year and a half, and no regrets!
