I stumbled upon this job requirements, and I started to wonder.
What do most employers derive in looking for an IT team in one human being??
This is so graphic jeeeez.

Because "computer science" qualifications ready you for Web dev.

    Spoiler alert: They don't.

They can't even decide whether NodeJS is optional or core requirement. Looks like some sloppy shit.

Btw., no hashtags on devRant, this isn't Twitter. Tags are separated by comma and may contain spaces.

Run a mile whenever you see something like this. Contrary to what might make sense, the longer the list of ridiculous requirements the worse the job (in compensation, promotion opportunities and general interest) is likely to be.

@Fast-Nop 😂 noted, I was caught up in the mix of a social media malnutrition.

@PlatinumFire Fun fact: My uni offers CS as a degree but also others more tailored (mine being Web Dev)

I transferred over to CS and got the module list and it was all really general shit that was not what I imagined. Put my transfer in to go back to web the next day.

I mean, I check all those boxes, but what it boils down to is "Single white company LF full stack webshitter for some no-strings-attached devops"

@SortOfTested you got a lot of constraints attached 😂

That's an ad for an entry front end position, nothing more.

What point makes you think to "Whole IT team" ?

They only ask if you can do reac, if you can implement external API (google maps etc) and if you can do Pull requests correctlly

    They're looking for God.

Indian LinkedIn is trash. The HRs share trash videos as if it is Facebook.

@akshar I'm not been stereotypical, but I need to say this, I once applied to an Indian company, when I got the assessment plus the call of duty schedule with respect to the deadline for that assessment, I didn't bother replying that email.
some of them think, you can just do " james bond with gifted hands "

@akshar That describes all of LinkedIn.

3-10 years work experience + CS degree "or related work experience"

Why put the CS degree there in the first place, I think 3 years is enough "related experience"

I have all but one of these, whats the problem?

one person, even overworked from constantly doing paid overtime, costs 1/team_size of the price of a whole team, obviously.

@Root Every other IT company claiming to be the leader in Blockchain, yes. They share updates for new job opportunities as discount offers. :/ "Grab your seat"?!? And the cringe "HR stories". Hiring is somehow synonymous to shopping for them, adding "resources" to cart.

There are good ones like Pentagram that share their work with no spam. Or IDEO that shares thoughful articles.

But maybe just like every other dev. has this opinion for HR, they might also have some interesting thoughts about us devs. 😅

    What they say they need:

someone young and perspectice with at least 60 years of experience in anything we ever used in any project ever ranging from BASIC to Kubernates

    What they actually need:
Someone who can help us with this one angular project
