"The Marketplace has extensions that can help with '.disable' files"

Humor me VSCode Marketplace... what fucking extension do you recommend for my '.disable' file today?

Try disabled.dev, it'll make sure you're disabled as soon as possible.

I may be drunk but... I've rarely been so confused by a rant

@PonySlaystation The name of the file open in my editor is `config.disable`

@devphobe but what is the purpose of said file extension?

@PonySlaystation being assinged to '.disable' files. May be a snippet/linter plugin

I don't get the problem...why not just click the button that tells it to shut up and move on? It's a pretty useful feature.

I totally get where you're coming from! If you want to avoid those annoying marketplace extension prompts in VS Code, you can head over to your settings and disable the recommendation pop-ups. There's an option in the settings called "Extensions: Ignore Recommendations" that helps with this. It won’t stop the occasional notification but will make a huge difference in reducing them. If you're still seeing prompts about specific file types, it's likely a bug that VS Code is working on. Hopefully, they'll fix it in an upcoming release!

Haha, I totally get the frustration with VS Code's constant nudges about '.disable' files. It's like, 'I know what I'm doing, stop suggesting extensions!' One way to quiet those nags is by enabling the 'Extensions: Ignore Recommendations' setting in VS Code. It won't eliminate them entirely, but it definitely reduces the noise. As for https://gearbubble.pissedconsumer.com/... I've seen reviews. Some folks love the customizable products, but others have had issues with customer service and delivery. If you're considering using it, maybe check out some reviews first to get a sense of what to expect.
