@enjoythecode It means you should try to surround yourself with people you can learn from, rather than being satisfied with being the smartest of the group you are in. In other words: Keep learning, keep improving.

AcidBurn384yThis is subjective. Everyone feels like they are little smarties in a room. They aren't. Most of the room sucks at coding and being smart. Especially in a room.

If you leave, another person will be the smartest in that room. And if everyone takes this advice, then no one will ever be in any room. 😱

I hate being the only dev at work. After almost a decade I still have to help coworkers attaching files, finding out how to start MS Office etc. And I have no dev colleagues to learn from. Feeling stuck.
