@BitWise it took me 30 mins to sign up for Apple TV and I have an Apple ID already.

I could've made 6 Google accounts and signed them all up for YouTube TV in the same time.

Also had to fucking download iTunes on my laptop in order to make this shit show work.

Honestly, as a user, it is. Most of the time. Smoothest experience ever. (iPad 6th gen owner here).

Never had such problems, apple is the best!

It's (usually) not bad if you buy into the full Apple ecosystem. If you subscribe to the philosophy of "I will use my device exactly as Apple tells me to, because only they know best" then you're likely good.

Tbf, that's not really too much of an issue on phones and tablets, but on a laptop it's a royal PITA.

Want to upgrade to bash 4+? Want to change keyboard shortcuts to something sane on an external non-Apple keyboard? Want to increase the mouse speed to a sane value on an ultra-widescreen monitor? Want to change your default scroll speed? Then get hacking around, if you're able to do it at all...

Uninteresting, low hanging fruit posts. I suggest you milk “likes” in 9gag, could be easier to satify your needs.

Apple TV? I didn't know you were a masochist. 😉

@aviophile do you think I give a fuck? I don't. You're a mildly irritating cunt and I don't give two shits about your input.
  • 5
@aviophile you seen your last two posts? Does irony mean anything to you?

@SortOfTested The TV streaming app, not the hardware thing lol I think it's like AppleTV+ or some bullshit 🤷🏻‍♂️

They have a series based off an NBC skit where a football coach goes in England to coach a premier league soccer team. The few minute long skits were hilarious, so I can only imagine the series is too.

I've had an iPhone 5S as inbetween device when searching for an Android phone and man, i don't get how people can find this system even remotely nice/easy to use 😅

@linuxxx iOS is meh. It's most definitely confusing compared to Android, but I still had it pretty much down pat after a day of casually using an iPad.

Some of the simple things, like clearing app cache are so over engineered and are a pain in the ass.

To put some real input to the conversation, I can't really complain about apple's OS as I haven't touched it since the first or second gen Ipod touch. My biggest gripe is how they treat their user base in advertisement. "This is a phone. You make calls with it. This is your thumb. Its this long." It felt really babying when, and I'm heavily paraphrasing the advert from memory, they used that sort of line for their ipod touch or Iphone line a while back. The railroad of "use our products this way and this way only" is not what I want out of my technology. Thats why I exercise mt freedom to choose.

5-star hotel where you are served the perfect croque monsieur made with the best brioche every morning -- But if you ask for a simple PB&J they give you a small ceramic bowl of satay paired with a tiny cup of strawberry confiture next to your croque.

@SortOfTested like 2 and half episodes in, and it's pretty good. The first like 4 are free to watch.

Remember when they told users they were holding their phones wrong?

@M3m35terJ05h "Hey, considering their userbase, I can understand"

@aviophile and you're proving my point that you're a cunt.

I'd bet my fucking bank account you wouldn't talk that shit in person, so why don't you just fuck right off my dude.

Got a Linux foundation certificate, contributed to one of the distros, tried and used pretty much everything you can imagine.

Professionally managed windows in the military, used different versions of windows for years. Yes I can configure active directory with my eyes closed.

Apple is a premium software experience.

@Stuxnet keep vigorously looking through twitter to find where apple used the linear animation instead of bezier or where there was a tiny lag you cave-dwelling goblin
