The countdown for Hacktoberfest has started, the only difference is that this time you can opt-out of taking the Hacktober fest tshirt and help plant a tree instead.

If they said they'd plant 20 trees I *might* have gone for it, but 1? That costs about $1, so it's clearly a money saving grab rather than anything they actually want to do to save the planet. Plus the odds are it'll probably die rather than thrive.

I'll take a t-shirt rather than a probably dead tree, thanks.

Trees are overrated.
