Anybody using PhoneGap?

I know that it isn't perfect, but for simple, rapid development it gets the job done.
Basically because (for me) takes out all the fuss of building the app.

Now that it is been discontinued I cannot feel but disappointed.

It was just a facade on top of Cordova that added no real value. It did however totally obfuscate the fact it was little more than the Apache code it used. They also didn't recontribute much of anything when they made changes.

That bad behavior is why it's dead.

If you want to continue using phonegap, just use Cordova.

It’s better to use Ionic Capacitor now solely because it has community and works out of the box with simple commands
