@cryphisss yeah not too popular... google doesn't do much marketing as such.. there are many google products/features unknown to many

@zeprod i had the opportunity to meet Google's community manager for allo last week. I asked him about all the other messaging apps situation by Google. They said they have no plans to merge allo and duo and have no plans to discontinue hangouts - another messaging app that is half assed by Google.

Anyway, i suggested him to promote allo thorough huge localized ad campaigns, like TV ads which I'm sure will help in third world countries. That is the only way afaik they can grow in this saturated market.

@zeprod After playing a bit with allo, I find too easy to call it artificial Intelligence when all it does is showing you Google results.

@HoloDreamer I think they promote only at keynote. I don't even see their ads over internet for their products

@tomabolt try talking to google assistant. Try asking questions like you do to Siri or Cortana. Responses are pretty good just like other AIs
