Well if by the 'more code' they mean more lines due to proper structure & styles instead of 'minimising' it on one line.. well then I have to take their side..
//sorry, but cramming everything in one line so I have to scroooll scroooll scrooooooll to see all the code is just nasty imho & yes, I actually encountered this..and not in a minimalised js file.. o.O

It's funny when someone is trying to school the heck out of you. Like, their saying that, "More code is cool" and other stuffs that will kick out the beauty of keeping our codes simple as possible.
