Fuck google cloud platform. My server has been down for last 4 days. Stupid reason google gives me is that it does not have resources available in my zone. Why the fuck do you start a hosting company if you cannot provide RAM and CPU. On top of that their support is so bad that after 20 emails, 4 chat tickets, 3 phone calls nobody knows the issue I am facing. They just give the links to their ultra stupid documentarion.
Now all my 6 projects are down. Clients are getting impatient. I cannot do any work and googles support is the worst.
They dont even want to understand the issue, dont know how they will solve it.

I have created AWS instance now and migrated to AWS. But i have old backups which are useless on AWS. To get the latest backups i need google cloud instance to get started but stupid google does not have resources. How hard it is to add 1 CPU and 1GB RAM?

Is your zone low on.... resources?

That's very not cloud of them.

Had a k8 issue recently, I didn't work it but I saw / heard the interaction with google support.

I totally get what you mean by them not wanting to understand the issue. Like pretend AI customer support who doesn't understand when the sentence is over or what you're really saying.

Like they wouldn't even as obvious questions...

Do you have a minute to talk about our Lord and savior Jeff bezos? 😇

@SortOfTested we can talk after I figure out what these 1000 services do, how to put them together, and oh gawd the web UI!!!

@N00bPancakes yes the zone is low on resources. Or may be i have used up all of the quotas.

They should tell me what the issue is and try to resolve it.

@prash32 try upgrading the plan or calling them. Also in the future make automatic backups.

Nothing beats additional local backups of everything, but that's a lesson cloud folks have to learn the hard way.

They've become weird recently. I guess they have also stopped their ban on our ip ranges.

@Fast-Nop i had local backups but my database grew to 15gb and was difficult the manage with new changes

@zemaitis i have the snapshot disk image and machine image. Non of them are useful for creating a new instance in another zone

@prash32 have you tried upgrading the plan?

@prash32 If you don't have local backups, you don't have any real control over your data. Complete data loss in cloud services isn't unheard of either because it's not their data and thus not really their problem.

@zemaitis their support should tell me to upgrade the plan. Anyway upgrading the plan at 100$ per month for issues which google is facing doesnt make sense. There is guarantee that after upgrading the plan they would get the server up and running

all resources are going to Stadia.

Google pretending not to understand or notice obvious issues? Surprise surprise!

They are vindictive as hell; did you do something to piss them off? They’re also lazy, so maybe it’s just too much effort.

@Root when it comes to googlecloud its like they want all the customers to move to aws

    @prash32 Maybe they do 🤷🏻‍♀️

What is sad now is that i am waiting for someone to turn their server off and me to turn on mine at the same time.
