Why do so many people refer to Firefox as "Mozilla"? But never refer to Chrome as "Google" or IE as "Microsoft" or...? That really irks me :/

I've never heard anyone call it Mozilla over Firefox.

Well, try:

about:firefox

vs

about:mozilla

and now you ask that question again.

I think it's because Mozilla have a big focus on the internet and their browser

Google is... Huge as is Microsoft
When you think of them you think of different things..

They also I think more heavily stamp their name on their products

Because the browser used to be called mozilla, now its burnt in the head of the naive day2day Users
